  • 500g minced beef

  • 600g swede

  • 5 spring onion

  • 1 leek

  • 5 cups white flour

  • 6 slices fresh ginger

  • 2 tbsp seasoned soy

  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce

  • 2 tsp 13 spice seasoning

  • 2 tsp chicken seasoning

  • 2 tsp sesame oil

  • olive oil(cooking)

Directions

  • Making Dough:
    mix flour with warm water about half a pint, adding slowly until you get the right consitency, leave to rest while you do the rest of your prep
  • Filling:
    Add a little water to the mince
  • add diced ginger
  • add ready mixed soy and oyster sauce
  • add sesame oil
  • add 13 spice
  • add chicken seasoning
  • add ready mixed leek and spring onion
  • Cooking Swede:
    grate and boil swede until soft about 5-10 min,
  • strain with a sieve and squeeze out any excess water, until your left with a pulp
  • add the swede to the minced beef with a little olive oil and salt
  • Making Dumplings:
    Knead the dough and form a ring, roll out and cut into small cubes
  • use a rolling pin to flatten cubes into disc shapes
  • add the filling, fold and seal
  • CookingDumplings:
    boil some water in a deep pan add the dumplings for 5 – 10 mins
  • Frying:
    Heat a shallow pan with olive oil, add the boiled dumplings into pan, place the lid on and cook until golden brown
  • Eat with dumpling dipping sauce boiled or fried tastes amazing!
